Windsurfing - There are windsurfers available for your use. If you have never tried this sport before, just ask one of the staff to show you how. Sailing - We maintain fully rigged catamarans suitable for solo or twin sailing. Sailing in the "bay" is enjoyable and relaxing. Take one of our 14ft catamarans and have a leisurely sail in the morning calm or an exhilarating sail on the afternoon breeze. If you can't sail, one of our staff will take you out and show you the ropes. When the wind does pick up and you are feeling adventurous, there are the windsurfers. But just remember; next stop after Nukubati is the Hawaiian Islands, somewhere northwards!
![]() Paddleboards - Double and single paddleboards with viewing ports are available. A paddle around the island over the reef and mangroves is not to be missed. Snorkeling - Snorkeling equipment is available complimentary for the duration of your stay. There are some good spots directly off the island. Please note there is a charge for snorkeling on the Great Sea Reef which is accessed by boat.
Library - The library is stocked with over 3,000 titles. Browse or swap your paperback with one of ours. The comfortable lounges are an ideal spot to soak up the views, watch the tides, read, chat or play board games or cards. Staff and guests gather here at least once a week around the Kava bowl for a taste of Fiji's favourite drink and to enjoy a Meke (traditional dance). Octopus Hunting (seasonal) - Test your skills at catching Octopus the Fijian way! Tennis - Equipment provided. Night tennis also available. Beach Volley Ball with the staff - can be prearranged. Just ask a staff member to assist. Sunday church with the staff - There is a Christian Service at 10am on Sundays at the local village on the mainland, where Nukubati's guests are most welcome. The magical sound of a Fijian choir without professional training or instrumental accompaniment has to be heard to be believed. Fiji Medicine tour - Learn amazing remedies on your Medicinal plant walk with Salote. Hikes - Around the island or up to the Lookout for stunning views. The Coconut Story - Demonstration - Once a week see weaving & local crafts demonstration by staff members together with a very informative "Coconut Story". Cooking class - Time arranged on request with our resident chef. Selection of board games - Chess, Backgammon, Scrabble etc.

![]() Diving Nukubati offers diving on the Great Sea Reef. Small managed dive groups have kept surrounding reefs in pristine condition. Visibility ranges from 18m to 50m. Lunch and/or snacks are provided also. Please see staff on the beach to arrange your diving.
Equipment hire (one time fee) - for fins, masks, snorkels, BCD, regulators, dive computers, wetsuit, SPB - $40 per person Custom dive packages can be arranged for divers who wish multiple dives over the duration of their stay. Snorkeling - You don’t have to be a scuba diver to enjoy the delights of the Great Sea Reef. In fact you will probably see as much reef life just snorkeling. The corals are within arm’s reach of the surface when you snorkel the inner reefs and you can feel and touch a vast array of undersea life without even making the shallowest of dives. see below for boat charges for snorkeling trips. Fishing – fishing is an important part of island life, and most of the staff here are excellent fisherman and women. Handlines and rods are used, and local people dive for much of their food. A wealth of varieties of fish, shellfish and crustaceans are abundant in waters and above reefs around the island. Fishing trips often include a swim from the boat and are usually a good chance to snorkel. There is a range of fishing to choose from – fly fishing, trawling, game fishing and casting. If you would like to fish, ask staff to organize this for you – they can advise the best times and locations. Nukubati’s fleet is made available for guests to charter for the whole day or half a day. ![]() Surfing - Several superb reef passes are situated a comfortable 15-20 minute boat ride from the Resort, while other epic surf spots are just waiting to be discovered. The best time to grab your surfboard and head to Nukubati is between the months of November and March. This is when the swells come across the Pacific from the north and can create exciting surf conditions on the Great Sea Reef. Interestingly these are the same swells that create the famous surf on the north shore of Oahu in Hawaii. For surfing – Boat Charter rates apply.
![]() Massage – an experience not to be missed! Taken in our Massage Bure or in the comfort of your own bure. Or on the beach. One hour massage using Fijian oils - $50.00 Phone, fax, mail and email – There is a telephone located near the office. If you need to use the phone or are expecting calls or fax messages please let the office know. Mail can be dropped off at the office for posting. Email facility is available to guests at a cost of $5 for each dial up connection made. Shopping/Boutique – staff go to Labasa weekly. Shopping is somewhat limited in Labasa but if you have any personal needs, please discuss them with the staff and they will be pleased to assist you if at all possible. There is a small boutique on the island that operates from 9-5 and sells some stunning Black Pearls, a variety of Fijian artifacts and some general souvenir items.
